–– START A TABLE

Could you set a Table?

Hosting an Open Table is not a role with metrics or a stepping stone to something else. It is the quieter, older work of making space.  Of keeping a room, — setting a place at the table, holding space for grace and silence and honesty, and trusting that Jesus will do what He does.

What hosting is

Keeping a room. Setting a table. Cooking a simple meal, or letting someone else cook it. Reading a few lines of Scripture aloud. Praying briefly, plainly. Noticing who has not spoken. Walking a guest to the door at the end of the night.A host is the keeper of the room, not the manager of a program. The work is preserving the conditions in which grace, silence, and honesty can show up — and then trusting that they will.

What hosting is not

Not teaching. Not leading worship. Not running a small-group curriculum. Not solo work — every host is part of a small host circle that prays together and shares the load. Not a stepping stone to a larger platform. Not a role with metrics. There is no scoreboard.

The simple ask

Willingness. Presence. Prayer. A kitchen big enough for six to eight people. A year of patience — most Tables take a year to settle into themselves, and the first months are the slowest.

What we'll do together

If something stirs as you read this, write to us. We will have a discernment conversation first — not an application, not an interview. Just a conversation about what is on your heart and what hosting actually is. If, together, we sense it is right, the next season is learning together to see how the work is actually done. After that, if it is still right, we begin a new Table together.

The Table

A community of friends gathered around Jesus — coming to Him, learning from Him, becoming like Him, together.
